TetraSmart is the newest, most compact 5 slot portable PC available. With 5 open expansion slots TetraSmart can handle add-in applications no other portable of its size can. The system features an all-metal double wall chassis formed from mil-std anodized aluminum. Using a familar attache form, the TetraSmart is 20% samller than similar feature lunchbox style pc's.
The flip up 15 inch TFT XGA (1024x768) screen has self holding hinges that maintain the user's preferred viewing angle. An optional SXGA screen (1280x1024) gives this power portable a huge high resolution screen for video editing and graphic production applications with 16mb of Video Ram.
The Ultra Heavy Duty handle slips gracefully through the slim carry case and means that you can quickly and confidently stow the unit in the airline overhead for quick and discrete travel. There are three backplane configurations for ISA or PCI add-in card of any standard size. Internal bracing and card hold-down locks assure superior protection and maximum reliability for mobile users. The unique power cool design of the TetraSmart assures your cards always operate within temperature specifications. This unique TetraSmart configuration allows maximum user card space with minimum footprint on workspace surfaces. No other maximum-capacity portable combines an industry standard 15.1 inch LCD screen with Intel Pentium P4 CPUs and the key optional peripheral configurations of multiple HDDs, CDRW and DVD media drives. TetraSmart's internal full-perimeter bracing for key subsystems with positive card hold-down locks provide superior protection for mobile users requiring the highest reliability and dependability.
TetraSmart’s industry standard SBC (Single Board Computer) was chosen for its support of the latest high-performance power-saving P4 CPUs running at 2Ghz. Its 400Mhz front side bus, expandable DDR memory configurations and stable configuration-controlled BIOS offer blazing performance, unmatched system throughput and reliable configuration control with take-it-with-you convenience.
Finally for maximum usability in high EMI/EMC environments (cell phone transmission sites, surveillance radar, etc.), the TetraSmart has standard CE and FCC Class A certification and optional DC power supply.
