The Toughbook 51 provides the perfect all-in-one solution for business on the move. It includes dual speakers, a floppy disk drive, work-station quality video and a comfortable keyboard with generous sized keys. The Toughbook 51 has a magnesium alloy display casing to help prevent damage to the screen and the hard disk drive is mounted in a vibration damping material to protect against drop, shock and vibration.
The Toughbook 51 incorporates Intel's Centrino Mobile technology for maximum performance with minimum battery drain. It comes standard with 512MB SDRAM (with optional expandability to 2 GB), a 80GB shock-mounted Hard Disk drive and a 15” 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) TFT Active Matrix Color LCD. In addition to front-mounted audio plugs the Toughbook 51 features (2) Type II PC Card slots or (1) Type III slot and one each of parallel, serial, and VGA connections as well as a FireWire and a (2) USB 2.0 ports and integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN and 56K modem.Available options include: integrated Smart Card reader for added security and a Port Replicator.
