The Toughbook 73 is a rugged notebook PC featuing Intel Centrino Mobile Technology. It has a 60GB shock-mounted hard drive and comes standard with 256MB SDRAM and is expandable up 1.25GB(PC-2100 memory is required). The 13.3” XGA active-matrix TFT LCD is a daylight-readable touchscreen. The Li-Ion battery provides power for up to 5.5 hours and using the optional second battery provides 9 hours.
The Toughbook 73 includes a full magnesium-alloy case, a shock-mounted and isolated hard drive, reinforced USB and PC Card connectors, and port cover. A sturdy carry handle provides for easy portability. The Toughbook 73 has built-in WLAN capabilities (802.11a+b+g), and can also simultaneously WAN technologies, such as GPRS or CDMA. The notebook also includes a built-in Ethernet, two type II PC slots, two USB 2.0 ports and a docking station connector.
