The PRO 9400 Series's flexibility derives from its three-spindle design, and the impressive array of functional modules that can be plugged into its two drive bays. The first bay can accommodate a full range of optical disk drives, including combo drives and DVD-RW drives, as well as a second hard disk drive or floppy disk drive. The second bay supports a second PCMCIA slots, COM port module, DGPS module, second battery, and wireless modem (for GSM/GPRS or CDMA).
Moreover, expansion modules are extremely easy to swap in and out, making the PRO 9400 SERIES an extraordinarily versatile mobile computing powerhouse. The PRO 9400 SERIES also offers an optional bottom – mounted expansion unit that accommodates two PCI or ISA expansion cards, enabling an even greater range of custom solutions to be implemented for meeting the most specialized requirements.
